Senior Year Calendar of Events
September 7, 2018--Senior Open Lunch Begins for those students who have turned in the signed Senior Open Lunch Contract.
September 17, 2018--Senior Parent Information meeting @ 6:30pm; Forum Room.
TBD--Class of 2019 Senior Class Picture @ 7:15am on the KM Stadium Field.
Mrs. Bielen, HS Counselor, will go over the college application process and speak on important events for senior year.
October 8, 2018--Financial Aid Meeting; 6:00pm; Forum Room
October 11, 2018-- Senior Baby Pictures are due for the yearbook.

October 22-26, 2018--FREE College Application Week for certain colleges/universities in Minnesota for "College Knowledge Month". Click here to see what colleges/universities are waiving application fees for this week. Great opportunity to save some money! Mrs. Bielen will also be providing college application help this week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) during Advisory in the Forum Room.
November 13, 2018--Senior Open Advisory Begins
Seniors will still report to Advisory on Mondays and any other days designated by administration. Typically, seniors will have open advisory Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
November 26, 2018--Senior Meeting during advisory with Jostens Rep; Forum Room
Seniors will receive Jostens packet information for ordering caps/gowns/diplomas. In this packet will be a card to fill out senior names for diplomas. Please make sure this is filled out completely and correctly. PSEO students are invited to come during advisory (12:58-1:23) or stop in the main office the next school day to pick up information.
November 29 & 30, 2018--Senior Cap and Gown Orders with Jostens; Commons. The Jostens Rep will be here on both November 29 & 30 to collect Senior Cap and Gown Orders in the Commons. November 29th will be from 11am-1pm (over both 1st and 2nd lunches) in the Commons. November 30th will be in the morning before school, 7:00-8:00am in the Commons. PSEO students may come in during either time or place their orders/drop off packets in the High School main office.
February 20, 2019--No School for Seniors due to the Junior required ACT graduation test.
TBD, 2019---Senior Survey. Seniors will take a senior survey during advisory. This survey will ask seniors what college/university they want their "final" transcript (transcript stamped with graduation date) sent to the college they will be enrolling at in the fall.
TBD, 2019-- Accuplacer Test for Seniors attending RCTC in the fall; The Learning Center at 9:00am
April 4, 2019--Senior Pictures due for the yearbook.
April 6, 2019--Junior/Senior Prom
Prom tickets will go on sale approximately one month prior to Prom. Further details to come.
April 29, 2019--Senior Meeting during advisory; Forum Room.
Senior class advisors will discuss the last month of high school itinerary and hand out permission slips for the senior class trip. Senior class advisors will also review seniors' personal and group responsibilities as they conclude their final month of high school.
Also during this Senior Meeting--Jostens will be handing out graduation announcements/caps/gowns.
PSEO students may pick up during lunch/advisory (12:21-1:23pm) or the next school day in the main office. Otherwise, the Main Office will let PSEO students know when they can pick up their caps/gowns before/after school.
May 10, 2019---Turn in parental permission slip/money for Senior Class Trip to Mrs. Walsh and/or Mrs. Enders by 3:00 pm. If the permission slip is not turned in by the deadline the student will attend regular class that day in lieu of the senior class trip. Students will keep the make-up slip; this will be collected as you board the bus for the trip.
TBD, 2019--Baccalaureate Ceremony @ 7pm; TBD
The ceremony will be held at TBD Church. Please arrive at the church 15 minutes early and dress accordingly as this is a church service; including caps and gowns. Seniors are highly encouraged to attend.
May 22, 2019--Senior Scholarship & Award Night; MN Wifi Performing Arts Center @ 7pm
Seniors are encouraged to bring in copies of scholarships awarded from colleges/community organizations/athletics, etc. as they will be presented on Scholarship Night. Copies of scholarships must be brought into Karen Wetzstein by May 10, 2019 in the Guidance Office. Seniors who are recipients of awards or scholarships will be notified via mail and must RSVP to the Guidance Office by May 14, 2019. Please dress nicely as pictures for the newspaper will be taken.
May 23, 2019--KoMet Assembly (End of the Year Academic Awards Ceremony for grades 9-12); Home Federal Arena, 9:30-10:50am. Parents welcome to attend. Students who earn and academic letter will be recognized at this KoMet Awards Assembly.
Academic Letter: Kasson-Mantorville High School recognizes academic achievement with an academic letter. This letter is the same as the one given in athletics; however, a torch and wreath, symbolizing knowledge or scholarship, will be imprinted on the letter. The first-year letter will receive the academic letter and certificate. Student earning letters for the second and subsequent times will receive a gold bar, with a certificate also awarded each year. To earn an academic letter a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.667 through the end of 3rd quarter each year. This cum GPA requirement is used for all grades 9-12.

May 24, 2019--Senior Class Trip
Begin boarding buses at 7:00am at east entrance. We will return by 3:10pm. Let's have some fun! Bring appropriate clothes for the planned event. We go rain or shine, hot or cold. All bags will be checked. Students who do not attend the class trip must attend school.
May 28, 2019--Senior Slideshow, 2:20-2:50pm; MN Wifi Performing Arts Center (pepfest schedule)
If you would like to contribute pictures for the senior slideshow please send them to Mrs. Enders by May 1.
May 29, 2019--Seniors LAST Day of School!
May 31, 2019--Graduation Rehearsal at 8:30am; KMHS Home Federal Arena (in caps/gowns)
Graduation rehearsal is mandatory for all seniors participating in graduation ceremony. Students are expected to attend the rehearsal, arriving promptly at 8:30am, if they are choosing to walk through ceremony. Breakfast (donuts & bottled water) will be provided. Graduation rehearsal will conclude with the "KoMet Grad Walk". Graduates will walk, in full caps/gowns, over to the KM Elementary School and parade through the hallway, receiving congratulations from our youngest KoMets.
June 2, 2019--Graduation Ceremony; KMHS Home Federal Arena @ 2pm
This is the big moment. Graduation begins at 2:00pm sharp. Graduates are expected to be assembled in the Commons at 1:00pm in your cap/gown, dressed appropriately, and ready to represent your parents, community, and yourself well. Enjoy the day!

Week of June 3---Senior "Final" transcripts (meaning stamped with official graduation date) will be sent out this week to colleges/universities seniors requested on their senior survey in March. Colleges require a final transcript for students to complete their college enrollment process as well as verify high school graduation.
